This has been our major motivation for starting Genesis Endowment Foundation, the philanthropic arm of our company, Genesis Vision Consult Management Ltd. Genesis Vision Consult Management is a hospitality, event, and property management company with operations in Nigeria.
With an increasing rate of out-of-school children, natural and manmade disasters, hope, and skills, our nation and continent at large are faced with a bleak future, especially for the youth. Our youth are the future of our country and it is our belief that more should be done to build a great country, as well as encourage them to take charge of the affairs of the country. This is why our core mission at Genesis Endowment Foundation is the children, youth, and widows.
As a company and citizens of Nigeria, we strongly believe in the greatness of our nation and that is the fuel that keeps us going. We believe that with our vast natural and human capital resources, we can build a country that isn’t only safe to live in, but one that enables the ease of doing business, which is the fastest way out to pull many families from poverty. In our endeavor to achieve this, we have four primary focal points.
The first program is Media Outreach. This program involves establishing an online media outlet of superior value designed for family viewing and empowering communities, based on a moral conception of the human person. We work with relevant organizations and other humanitarian and community-based organizations to promote social works and highlight the work of Genesis Endowment Foundation in Nigeria and beyond.
We also focus on Entrepreneurial Development. This program is facilitated by our foundation alongside accomplished entrepreneurs and leading professionals. We employ practical steps that cover a wide range of business topics carefully designed to help participants develop their business ideas, and set up and operate fast-growing businesses. The program, which comprises online and classroom sessions, mentoring sessions, and basic IT training, is designed to provide entrepreneurs with both a business and leadership edge in life.
Our most passionate program is Educational support. There are millions of children missing out on their right to an education. We’re working to make sure every child in our communities goes to school. This project will support and fund their education, support teachers, advocate girls’ education, and reach children who are engaged in other activities that dampen or reduce their chances of a free and fair education.
On Youth Empowerment, This is a program dedicated passionately to helping young people express, create, and achieve the freedom to chart a new course for their lives and pursue their aspirations. It’s a springboard for young people from diverse disciplines within our society to meet, interact, and hear from successful leaders and entrepreneurs who will fire up their inherent youthful energy into maximum positive productivity while discovering, developing, and achieving their goals. In today’s world, education goes beyond the four walls of the university.
Supporting Widows and Orphans in our communities with developmental empowerment projects and community-based resources is also at the core of our mandate. We are committed to changing the lives of the widows and orphans in our communities and promoting economic self-reliance and progress of orphaned families and widows. Our organization provides skill acquisition and a financial lifeline to indigent widows. We are ensuring that 100% of the widows are fully empowered with tools to create wealth and establish and run their own businesses.
Through these programs, we are already making a positive impact, collectively as a company and as individuals.
